Warwickshire Senior Restricted - Online Entry is now open  posted 30 August 2017

The Warwickshire Senior Restricted online entry is now open - the Tournament is being held on Saturday September 30th 2017 and Sunday 1st October 2017.

The Online entry closes on the 24th September 2017.

WBA Secretary steps down after 10 years  posted 29 August 2017

Robert Goode the WBA Secretary has stepped down from this role after 10 years at the AGM held in June 2017.

The WBA are very greatful for all of Rob's hard work and dedication over the last 10 years and everyone involved with WBA wishes him well for the future.

Julia Hammerton has been appointed the new WBA Secretary, Julia has been involved with Warwickshire School's Badminton Association for many years through her daughter Rosanna and is WSBA Secretary.

 

 

Yonex to Sponsor 2016 Restricted Tournament  posted 18 September 2016

It has been confirmed that Yonex have kindly agreed to sponsor the 2016 Senior County Restricted Tournament that will take place over the weekend of 1st and 2nd October. Warwickshire would like to thank Yonex for their continued support.

The county restricted is an opportunity for players that would like to play for any of the 3 senior teams to be considered for selection. The 2016 tournament is once again expected to be a very competitive event showcasing the top county players including ex-internationals and a current national senior champion. The closing date for entry is Sunday 25th September. Anyone requiring an entry form should contact Sue Spink (aspink2@hotmail.com).

Over 65's win their Regional Division in their 1st year of competition.  posted 04 April 2016

The team overcame Oxfordshire in a winner takes all final fixture 5 games to 4 and now look forward to the National Finals at Stoke Mandeville on April 23rd. The Over 45's finished a creditable 2nd in a Division that also went down to the final fixture. The Over 50's and 60's both finished in a comfortable 3rd position in their respective Divisions.

A disappointing end to the season for the First Team, despite finishing third in the Premier A table.  posted 20 March 2016

    The County completed their 'Premier A' season last week-end with a victory, and two defeats.   However, they just missed out on the silver medal position, finishing third.

A week-end of mixed fortunes for the 2nd Team with one defeat and one success.  posted 14 December 2015

   The 2nd Team experienced a week-end of contrasting fortunes in their latest Division 2 encounters.   They were beaten 9-2 by a strong Shropshire team in the first match, but came back well to beat Cambridgeshire's 1st Team  7-4 in their second match.

A difficult week-end for the 3rd's in their latest Division 3 encounters.  posted 14 December 2015

     The 3rd Team experienced a tough week-end recently when they lost a close encounter (6-5) against Staffordshire's 2nd Team, and then went down (8-3) to Worcestershire's 2nd Team.

A good week-end for the 1st Team with all 3 matches won and their position in the division improved to 3rd.  posted 13 December 2015

     The second of the 1st Team's 3 week-ends in this season's 'Premier' competition brought success in each of their 3 matches.   With wins against Avon, Middlesex, and Cheshire, the County moved up to 3rd in the league table, - only one point behind Surrey in second place.
